I’ve been active again for about a year now after a few years on mostly SWL and I’ve noticed more harassing operators on the air. Someone from Spain takes the cake, you hear that guy (El Commendante) nearly every day and sometimes all parts of a day. According to my information, there’s also one active in Italy, OSCAR OSCAR KILOWATT. I have no idea what these two guys are trying to achieve with their behavior, but as far as I’m concerned, they can be taken off the air, it’s incredibly annoying. Across the EU, there are plenty of other operators who try to mess things up daily. There’s also an operator who enjoys whistling tunes, if I’m not mistaken, some Dukes of Hazard and other well-known melodies. It’s a shame this operator enjoys spoiling it for others. If there are a lot of them on certain frequencies, I just turn off the radio so I don’t have to worry about it.
There are also a few CB operators in my province who can’t tolerate criticism for their childish behavior. They immediately go from 0 to 100 and call you crazy or worse. Sometimes it feels like we’re all back in the 1980s, (then cb radio was at its peak with a lot of fuss on the air) some people never change in that respect. TV doctor House always said people don’t change, I agree with that. After an on-air confrontation with one of them, I just hung up and let this operator do their thing. I’m not bothered by their broadcasts because when I hear them, I quickly search for other stations or switch to JS8call with the radio sound off.
Why attract so much attention with negative actions, what is the purpose of that? Have fun with the radio and don’t let unguided projectiles ruin it,

Update: January 2026: Great, the boys have found my homepage. This manifests itself in ignorant radio comments about the content on my homepage. The funny thing is, I’m talking about adults with children who are behaving incredibly childishly.

I had the same experience when I started using js8call. It took some perseverance to get the computer and radio…
